Joe and LL first met in 2006 while working for Vanguard. In a highly competitive department of licensed associates, Joe and LL quickly became top performers and given opportunities in new roles and projects. Referred to as Batman and Robin (without ever saying who’s who) by department leadership, the two successfully partnered together on different projects, and continued to accel in their individual roles.  

Fast forward to early 2018, LL had been working at Rivian for 2 years, and had earned the opportunity to lead and build out the Talent Operations (HR) Department. He made a call, gave a hard sell, and within a month, Joe was on his way to Michigan to join the Rivian team.
